Mystery Sterling Silver Tavannes Lighter

I can't find any info where Tavannes made lighters at all. It's marked Tavannes with a dog. I've seen a similar dog on a 1930's watch case. the dog was a mark for Schwob Frerer, which merged with Tavannes, which I believe became Cyma. It's also marked silver 950. The construction is very similar to a Dunhill rollagas, except it uses lighter fluid.

Anyone ever seen one of these?
