Hello All,
not sure if anyone can help me identify the marks on the bottom of this set of 7 pewter tankards. I found them at a market in Belgium but these are much heavier than the ones we normally find from Belgium and Holland. I thought maybe France with the F mark but not sure.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Lorenzo

Given the lip, I think it'd best be described as a pitcher.

The word(s) on the thing [in red] must be a big clue as to origin. Why not share with us what it says.

Hi Maxine,
These are just random letters on the top RPNLIG... we find these on most of these pewter tankards and I was told these are certification stamps they would have used back in the day to confirm they where accurate.
Thanks for your input .

"Certification stamps" that are "just random"...? Whatever.

Resembles one of the the marks attributed to FOCA, Oosterbeek, Holland (founded 1948 and production ended 1990)
The other marks resemble angel blowing horn (unofficial high quality mark that indicates the pewter is lead-free) and a double-headed eagle.
