Large ship painting, can't make out signature

Trying to figure out who painted this.  Can't quite make out signature.  Thanks.

Large ship painting, can't make out signature

Factory paintings are real paintings, and they're usually skillfully done and quite decorative. The ones from China, the biggest source, are more often than not signed in red, and maritime subjects are extremely popular.  Thus, the comments by other posters.

I can't tell from your photos what you have, but I give the same advice as others here:

If Albert Hess is a well-known, "listed" marine artist, compare your work to his.  Signatures mean far less than style, composition, color and tone sense, and so on.  That's what you need to do to be sure.  Be very careful, however, of what you find on eBay where so many paintings are misdescribed or misidentified, innocently or intentionally.

Your photos are too teeny tiny.  Try resizing them and post them again.

I agree that it looks like factory art.  A photograph of the back would be helpful.

Sorry about the photos.  I found it... Albert Hess.  It is definitely a oil painting on canvas.  Sorry my pics were so bad!  Thanks everyone!

Thanks so much for the advice.  Fortunately,  I didn't buy on eBay,  but at a local auction.  I will do so more research on it.  If it's not original,  it was cheap anyway,  and I still like it!
