Help with English (?) silver marks

Hello! Hoping some one will recognize these marks.  They are on the collar of Golf Ball Knob Walking Stick. While the Golf Ball seems to be a modern subject it has 4 marks.  The first is a shield with EWS inside. The second looks like a Rose or Thistle in a corners cut square. The third is a Lion walking left in a corners cut rectangle. The fourth is a calligraphic or italic lower case "y" also in a cut corners square.  Test polished a bit and tarnish came off.  Hard to photograph...Any info appreciated!

Re: Help with English (?) silver marks

The EWS is the maker's mark - since it is modern it won't be in most catalogs

It is also likely that the maker wont add much value

Re: Help with English (?) silver marks

Yes English. The rose is for Sheffield, the lion passant for sterling, the Y appears to be the one for 1998. See the list of Y date marks in this link.

I cannot find a maker using EWS for Sheffield. Can you get a better picture for that part?
