Help identifying grave marker?

Hi, I bought this at a garage sale. Is it a military grave marker?

Any help in solving this mystery is much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.marker-1.jpg

Re: Help identifying grave marker?

It's 4 - 1/2" long, stamped on back I think Mervin Products, Cleveland Ohio. Made of some metal, found hanging in barn of a garage saleimg005.jpg

Re: Help identifying grave marker?

Well, the basic design is that used for grave-markers for World War II veterans, but it lacks the details.   Look at these to see what I mean:

Note that it's the same design as the WW2 honorable discharge patch:

Re: Help identifying grave marker?

Sorry, should have included a link with the patch.  You'll see honorable discharge / honorble service lapel pins, etc., too, of the same design.

Re: Help identifying grave marker?

You're welcome.   Licence plate topper makes sense.
