Help Identify a cast iron boot scraper with markings

I bought this boot scraper at an auction. When I picked it up, it was covered in gobs of old matted spiderwebs, crusted on dust and mud.

I cleaned it several times. Some pitting became visible. Some deterioration due to age. Some brown spots - missing black paints.

Just underneath the hind leg are the letters WAW.

Does anyone know the maker?

No one can help unless you post pictures, including pictures of the seams, the mark, and so on.  Also include measurements and make a fair guess at the weight.

Is this is in the form of a dachshund dog, of which there are a zillion repros?  If so, that makes good photos even more important if anyone is to try to help you determine what you have.
