HELP! I have not a clue what this object is. Marked M inside a diamond.

Can someone enlighten me on what this could possibly be? Sorry for the blurry picture.  One mark is an M inside a diamond, which I believe to be the Marathon Company but I dont even know what to Google search because it's just an object...

There is another marking on there but I'll have to update the two letters, I believe it was, when I get back to the office 

Any ideas? It was $1.50 at the thrift store so I grabbed it.  Why not?

It's the thrill of the hunt for me, I just love trying to figure out what some of these items are. It's fun!

Full disclosure, I had/have no idea what it was. I saw a Calla Lily, a bud vase and clearly vintage, so I googled vintage metal calla lily shaped bud vases and VOILA 🙂 I'm a cheater, cheater, pumpkin eater, ha ha.

So, yes, the Etsy seller maybe wrong, now that I think about it. More detective work I think before this case is closed 🙂

I wish I had you around.  I'm the completely opposite. It gives me a headache just thinking about searching endlessly for some random mark.  I might have to throw you $5 everytime I need you to do some research for me. How you found that piece is beyond me. I bet you're good a chess, as irrelevant as that may be.

LOL! I used to drive my parents crazy I was always asking questions, taking things apart, I have a very curious mind and love a good hunt. Interesting enough, I don't like chess 🙂 My friends and family always told me I would have been a great detective.

Happy to help. I know how hard it is to figure out some of these things, I hunt through thrift stores constantly and come home with the strangest items. They intrigue me, I want to know what they are 🙂
