Re: Decipher of art signature

Two things: we are all volunteers here and don't work for ebay.

" decipher a Monogram or Signature" should read

Please decipher a Monogram or Signature.

I would say it's a Chinese landscape but could be Korean. If you put it thru Google Lens you might find the name of the mountain range to get you started. A super macro close up of a 2" square detail from the front can allow others  to see necessary details.

Re: Decipher of art signature

This is a geomantic landscape painting. The composition of the picture is rigorous, with a harmonious balance between the real and the virtual, presenting a serene and beautiful artistic conception of mountains and waters embracing each other. The towering mountains are shrouded in mist, and the pine trees in the foreground seem to be welcoming guests. Scattered houses can be seen among the mountains, with a gurgling stream flowing through. There are also flying birds, adding a touch of vitality to the scene. In terms of geomantic omen, the house leaning against the mountains symbolizes that it is located in a blessed place. The water flows on both sides imply having good opportunities and resources. From an artistic perspective, it shows the momentum and charm of the landscape through the changes of brush and ink. The use of ink - based colors pursues simplicity yet is full of variations, reflecting the unique artistic charm and profound cultural connotations of traditional Chinese landscape paintings. It allows people to feel the beauty of nature and the artist's thoughts and emotions.--------from a china ai.

Re: Decipher of art signature

My mistake. I thought you might also want to know about the art itself. Just getting a name is easy, the hard part, is knowing if you have a fake/forgery/replica to go with the perfect name that you seek, esp with Chinese art. I've been looking at art for 40 years and have always considered the two elements to go hand in hand. Good luck.

Re: Decipher of art signature

I confirm that everything you stated is accurate. To clarify, I've been collecting art since 1994, not for 40 years. Additionally, I've sold several high-value pieces in the past and still own a few.. Through my experience, I've developed an eye for spotting forgeries. Typically, counterfeiters overlook specific details that are characteristic of authentic works. However, it's essential to acknowledge that no one can be 100% certain without conducting extensive research and verification. Unfortunately, many collectors unknowingly possess forged art, believing it to be genuine. I can assure you that this particular piece is authentic." I will find the artist name sooner than later.

Thanks for the communication.
