Hoping to get some info on this bayonet. I am assuming it is German, but have no idea about the year. I think the grip is bakelite. Overall length is 15". It has the metal sheath and the frog

Well i read that they are pretty common among bayonet collectors. German there is some good information on google search.

You have a K98 Bayonet with matching serial number 6194n on both blade and scabbard and the matching leather frog.
Made by ASW (E. & F. Hörster, Solingen, Germany) 41 (Year 1941).

Thank you very much. I did go to some of the sights you posted, It was the stylized "n" under the number that I couldn't figure out. Regards Joe
