Basket identification help needed please...

Hi all!  

I have searched and searched but am unable to find any basket similar to the one I have pictured.  Are there any basket experts out there?   The closest I have been able to find is Philippines but part of me thinks it is Native American and very old.  Any help is greatly appreciated!  Thanks for taking time to view my post!

To me it appears Asian, maybe Indonesian.  I am not an expert however so hopefully someone who is will come along.

I'd agree, likely Asian, possibly Indonesia.  Not Native American.

It reminds me of market baskets from the Philippines, like the first few that come up in this image search:

You could put what I know about baskets in a thimble and have room left over, but you might want to search more along those lines.
