Anyone familiar with this artist or his/her work?

I cannot find anything anywhere due to the fact that I cannot see the last few letters in his surame.  They are partially hidden by the matting.   Thank you in advance.

I'd say the last name is Whitfield.  It also says "Untitled" and "Artist's proof".

I tried that one first and nothing. Thank you for your effort.

Just move the mat a bit so we can see the entire signature. If you don't want to disassemble the frame, just turn it upside down and gently tap the piece until the signature is completely revealed.

There's this..also a nautical theme leaning to one side,  but the signature is different so probably not,

Thanks but I did that several times.  It will not budge.

That name comes up a blank. I have searched but nothing. Thank you for responding.

Thanks. That popped when I searched as well. Not the same artist.

Just a hunch, but I don't think the letter after the "t" is an "f". That would be an awkward and unusual way to shape a lower case "f".
