Antique Kerosene Lamp

I bought this out of the trunk of someone's car at a local New England flea market. I've looked through my reference books but can't find anything that looks like it. Does anybody recognize the maker and/or age by the glass pattern and/or the embossed brass base and cap? If it helps, what looks like hobnails are actually four-sided square and inverted, that is, the high points are INSIDE the font.

Re: Antique Kerosene Lamp

The base looks to be late 19th or early 20th century. I wonder if the glass is originally from the object?
The glass of 19th century should have small air bubble because the technologies those years were rather imperfect. If there is no such bubbles, then glass is later period... It is strange about the geometries of the glass and it makes me wonder about if this is from this base or adopted later...

fyi---The glass does have small air bubbles in it. Don't know about the rest. Thanks.

The glass is such an odd shape, I doubt it's replacement. It looks like depression era waffle to me.
