Langenthal is a good quality Swiss maker founded in 1906, "makers of tableware, hotel ware and fancy goods". The body, enamels and gilding of pieces I have seen have all been good but I don't think they innovated in any way, technically or artistically, so their works are not pursued by collectors to any great extent.

The moderators appear to have merged several threads and a number of posts have been lost in the process, mine among them. I am re-posting the link below for two reasons: (i) it helps narrow down the date of production to a single year (1964) and (ii) it is a very useful resource which could prove useful for others who are looking for information on Suisse Langenthal, and who come across this thread.
NB The link is to a PDF file (a large one, since lots of illustrations). Also, the text is in German:

Yes, and now OP has started yet another thread on these plates, if you can believe it.
Only just saw it

I know that new people sometimes get confused about how to post, or they don't know how to find their own threads, or they don't know how to edit their threads or ask a mod to delete or edit a thread, and so on. However, this OP has been around these boards for years.

There is nothing "perfect" about these plates. The painting is crude and clumsy, the birds poorly rendered in every regard.
You can believe whatever you want to about them, but to keep starting new threads because you don't like the answers you're getting is an insult to all the people taking the time to try to help you.
