sterling, 11.6 grams, 31mm (widest point not including loop), looped for suspension, i think the engraving is F. RIVARDO...

white metal, 31mm, holed for suspension, dates on scroll are years for eligibility to join the American Legion at the time, so this piece dates between 1950 and 1953... produced by Whitehead and Hoag (reverse, bottom center)...
