An interesting issue during the difficult days of the Spanish Civil War. (One of Heron's favorite eras because there are many interesting pieces of paper money to collect).
This 10 Pesetas note was issued by the Casa de Ahorros, Vizcaina.
Note: Casa de Ahorros = Savings Bank.
The Banco de Espana authorized many 'local' banks to issue small denomination notes due to shortage of 'hard money' (coins or tokens).
There are many issues of the same design note but different issuing entities. These various 'bancos' issued currency in parts of Spain not held by the conservatives (Sr. Francos group).
