Infuriating.
Trying to buy with my paypal mastercard.
1. The cards active. The billing address matches. The card is fine. Ive confirmed with the card issuer.
2. Ive logged in/out and tried multiple browsers.
3. Ive removed the card and readded it to my ebay account multiple times
However I keep getting this message when trying to pay for my item:
"Your payment didn't go through. Please check your payment details or select a different payment option."
How in the world do I fix this?

Happened to me some years ago with some card. Solution: use different card.
There is nothing wrong with your card. It will work tomorrow or.... .
The reason, it was, some kind of algorithm in the system that blocks certain cards due to current security breach.
In my case it was defensive measure by merchant.
Go figure... might be hacker action or foreign messing with finances as well.
Any way, don't waist your time. In several days your bank or the place you are trying to buy from will know and, may be , share with you the reason.

I've had the same thing happen several times and its cause seems to be because my temporary internet files and cookie cache were very full. After running a utility to clear them and restarting my computer. I was able to complete the payment.

Having the same problem. In the past, things like this are often due to PayPal and/or eBay having a fraud check on your account and they don't tell you which is ridiculous. Try contacting Paypal and/or eBay.

I've spent two days, two different cards, two different paypal accounts, guest accounts etc, and can't pay for this. I transferred money to my paypal account so I'm hoping paying with paypal balance will work, but I'm not hopeful.

Same problem. Tried PayPal and two credit cards--on three browsers. Restarted the computer. Waited a day. Still can't pay for an item.

Have you cleared your browser history? Just restarting the computer doesn't usually work if you don't clear your cache.

Does Ebay customer service help with these matters? I have not gotten a response from them yet.
