I'm seeing tons of items listed from foreign countries. Yet when you click on the details. It may have a california address too
Are these foreign sellers drop shipping from an amazon hub or a walmart?
you guys probably know- but i've never noticed this before. As much as I have lately. thanks in advance.

It's a good possibility they are drop shipping from a retailer.

Ok- thanks. Another silly question... I see lots of US sellers with tons of items listed. How do you do that? do you pack up each item- put it in a box and weigh it for shipping first? seems like a bunch of hard work.

Some may be dropping, some may have inventory warehoused in the USA

I would say there is a 90% chance they are drop shipping from a US retailer.
I have also seen that if the buyer tries to return the item, they require shipping to whatever country they are in and not the original address in CA.

For most items that I sell I know in advance what the item will weigh when packaged.
99% of my items are on the shelves unpackaged. Space would not permit all to be packaged ahead of time.
Some sellers may have extended storage space allowing for prepackaging.
Space, of course is not a concern for droppers.

Nope. After awhile you get to know how much an item packed will weigh and how you'll be shipping it (box size/weight/dimensions etc).

My purchases from Chinese sellers with a US ships from address have been shipped from a fufillment service in the US. Not a retailer.
On a few occasions they have been shipped from China, with faster arrival than some US orders.
I do not buy items from Chinese sellers that Walmart, Sam's, Amazon or Costco stock. Those who do, have no one to blame but themselves for overpriced goods, lack of warranty, and poor returns handling.
