Shipping internationally

Dear all

I don't expect to get any clear answer, but way is ebay using DHL slowest motion service as only option for the international shipping (Europe) instead of the Global shipping program that was working well.

Now it is taking more than 5. weeks to get one package to Iceland, that was before not more than 2.

after 19. years using ebay I had to change to Amazon, they deliver with in 1. week from the USA to Iceland.

eBay as a company, does not ship anything. They only provide a platform for individual sellers to list their items on. Each individual seller decides what shipping service they want to use for overseas shipping of their products. 

If the seller's given shipping method was Ebay International Shipping (EIS) it is the new international replacement for the Global Shipping Program (GSP)  and there have been many complaints about it. The most common one, is packages reaching one of the 2 U.S. hubs, and sitting there for a long time before being shipped out.
