I've just received shipment of a 536.63$ navy pair of Loro Piana Summer Walk shoes, size 45. The purchase was made from a London based seller, while I'm currently in Houston, Texas, USA. I'm going to include the links down below that detail the discrepancies that exist.
NOTE : I've been wearing Loro Piana since 2017 and I've never seen a summer walk look like this before...... Ive had countless of pairs sized 45, 45.5 from this brand and this pair is significantly different that anything I have ever seen....
My father's summer walk sized 44purchased at the boutique in Houston was LONGER than a size 45SUMMER WALK!!!!
Take a look, and I would greatly appreciate any guidance on how to handle this situation, as I've received a fake item. This is my first experience with receiving a non-authentic item. The seller is gaslighting me as well as telling me what to say in the return process so I dont affect his "business" , and his ability to "feed his family"..........

Why not let eBay handle the issue and send me the return label? Why do I have to give the seller my personal info? Someone in the above comments told me to wait for eBay to kick in.

All that detail is not necessary, and no one is going to click on a bunch of random links. All you need to do is go to the item in your purchase history, click Return, and select that the item was not as described. Ebay will require that the seller send you funds for the return upfront or refund without requiring a return.

Funny, that's what I just wrote in another thread that has disappeared. I agree with this ^^^, @luxurygoodstrader.

The seller giving you a sob story about feeding their children is laughable. The last one asking your ethnicity is despicable.
If the seller responds to the item not as described dispute properly, (sending or having ebay provide a return shipping label, or issuing a refund without you having to return the shoes) they will, not receive a defect on their account. They will be out the money for the return, but that shouldn't break anyone who could afford those shoes even fake ones.

thanks for the reply! The seller is asking for my shipping address / information but I’m not very sure if this is safe. The item is “no returns accepted”, do I wait for eBay to step in or do I provide him with my shipping information for the shipping label. Seller is also asking for my PayPal etc???

Because they aren't in the US the seller can't provide a label. They're asking for your Paypal to presumably send the return shipping cost, which is all international sellers can do. I'd let everything go through the eBay case. It's cleaner that way.

STOP talking to the seller. STOP. Follow these directions, in this order.
Go to your purchase history: https://www.ebay.com/mye/myebay/v2/purchase
Choose to return the item. The reason for the return is does not match description/fake/counterfeit, whichever you are given. This is an item not as described return, which overrides a seller's chosen return policy.
The seller will be required to either issue a return label or send you the funds to purchase a return label yourself. If the seller is not in the same country they will not be able to purchase a label, they will need to send you the funds to do so. They will most likely use Paypal for this, so if they are asking for your Paypal email address, give it to them. Do NOT purchase shipping using your own money, you will NOT be reimbursed for it if you do.
If the seller sends a return label, use it to return the item. If the seller sends money to buy a return label, use that money to buy a return label and return the item. USE A TRACKED SERVICE. Once the tracking shows delivered the seller will be required to refund.
If the seller has done none of these things, after three days return to the open case and ask Ebay to step in. Ebay will pull the money from the seller and refund you without requiring a return. The seller will also receive a non-performance defect on their account, which can be fatal to the seller's account.

If he sent you the shoes, doesn't it seem like he already has your address?
Once you have opened that case, there is no information that the seller needs that's not available to him already. Is this a new kid on the block?
Open the NAD case, wait the 4 days, ask eBay to step in.
You and the seller have no reason or need for communication with each other.
And would strongly suggest that you read the MBG.

Again, there will be no return label. It's impossible for international sellers to provide one. If you ask eBay to step in they'll contact the seller to provide you with the funds to ship the item back. That payment will come through whatever payment method you used for the purchase. Once you receive it you'll be responsible for preparing the correct customs form and using the funds received to purchase postage and send the package. The return will need to be by a means that provides tracking.
Should the seller refuse to provide the funds eBay will refund without requiring a return.
