Been here, Done that.
I want eBay to realize that these drive folks who like to bid on multiple auctions CRAZY!
Insane and absurd. Bad enough for 1 item, but what about 30-40 items!!
Not bidding in advance ANYMORE!!!
ENDING SOON BID NOW!!!! Outbid!!!
Stop sending me the SAME notifications OVER AND OVER!!
LET ME TURN THEM OFF!!
I only makes me want to bid less!
If you are trying to run the auction folks off its working!
I honestly believe you are trying to slash and burn the auction portion of this site by alienating the old school auction crowd. We do not need or want this feature. We can think on our own, that is part of the deal.
Old complaint, PLEASE! someone with ebay take notice.

Sounds silly, but can you really not turn your notifications off? Boy, howdy... a bunch of mine are turned off.

At this time, not that one.

Are you using the desktop platform or the mobile platform?
I just checked the desktop, and most of those kinds of alerts can be blocked on my account. Perhaps you could provide screenshots or explain where exactly you're looking for the block capabilities.
Oh, and, I'm not sure to whom you're referring when you say "we." I use all of those options except the "Watch alert."

"Oh, and, I'm not sure to whom you're referring when you say "we."
"We" refers to other buyers who have complained about this feature.
I am not trying to be difficult or standoffish, Not that guy.
I appreciate the info, the settings you refer to are for email notifications.
Windows using Firefox Browser.
Before I turned those off, I had about 1500 emails over a month for bidding on about 200 cheap post cards.
Now I only get 500 or so.
I believe that this is at the core of the changes to ebay, there are a lot of folks that buy and sell "old school" items. Post cards, coins, antiques etc.
Many people do not want a "dynamic" (as suggested in a direct response from eBay in a different post) experience.
They want to go into their quiet, well lit store and shop without being pestered.
I worked in the auction world and also with antiques. I sold electronic equipment here.
Making everything "dynamic" without opt-out is a bad idea.
This is not Tik Tok or Instagram.
Sometimes pressure does not make a impulse purchase, it only alienates.

Stupid question, sorry, I don't bid on auctions so no idea, but could ad blockers work ? or is it totally an ebay thing?
I have some pretty heavy duty protections on my 'windows' and I never get annoying pop ups.

Thanks,
Not stupid at all.
I run strong protections myself.
It comes from eBay in their script, It could probably be blocked if identified. (I wont discuss that)
I was hoping ebay would hear us little folks and offer the option themselves.
I have a feeling it is a psychology based approach, live auction, get the bidder involved and hyped up.
It does not do that, it is only irritating makes me think twice rather than becoming more engaged.

Hi @dogchow747
You control your own notifications:
My eBay > Account > Communication Preferences.
Just turn off the ones you don’t want.

I agree that some notifications are pretty pointless but you can choose the ones you want.
As it happens, I DO want outbid notifications on ALL of my bids - not just when I have selected automatic bidding. This used to happen, and I don't know when it stopped.
