Coupon Code Error

HOTSEASON20 Coupon code keeps saying I already used the coupon but I have not ordered from eBay in months. Ebay chat is useless it keeps telling me all the things I already know. The coupon code is not expired, it’s never been used, it’s simply not working!

If you have never tried entering the code before, none of us can say why it is not working.  Is it possible you tried to use the code twice on ineligible items so it was turned down? If so that may be why you cannot use it again.

I'm having the same issue. HOTSEASON20 won't work on any item I've tried. It says I've used it already, but I have not. Ebay sucks.

Are you sure you met all the conditions for it's use?  Those error codes don't always give the correct reason. 

Reread the coupon rules and see if your purchase meets all of them.   Those coupons have rules out the wazoo you have to meet.

Me too. On the chat with Ebay now. They told it's a technical problem.

Are you sure that you are trying to use the coupon on an eligible item, from an eligible seller?

This coupon is not good on everything on eBay; only on items where the seller agreed up front to accept the lesser payment. Only certain items from these sellers are eligible for the coupon, and it is very easy to start out browsing the eligible items, but then if you click on any "similar" items, you will be taken outside the small group of eligible items. That is almost always why these problems happen.

If the item doesn't show the coupon, above the Buy it Now button, then it won't be eligible.

I was having this problem as well last night and I was getting frustrated. Try changing the payment method before you enter the code. I changed from PayPal to Apple Pay and then the code worked. I was using the eBay app.
