Ask a simple question??

I asked a simple question regarding the condition of an item being sold that was never answered and when I attempted to go ahead and make a purchase, I find out I was blocked.  I inquired as to why and surprise surprise...no answer. Thankfully I found the item elsewhere, that seller happily answered questions and I made the buy. If asking a simple question gets you blocked from buying, then maybe that seller should be banned from selling on this platform.

I thought about it as it could be considered to be a bait and switch scenario but decided against it as I am winding down any further dealings on Ebay. Considering Ebay's buyer centric policies, I probably would have prevailed, but it wasn't worth the nonsense. This site has predominately been about wants rather than needs and there is little that I want from it anymore, so I'll take it down to 1 item a month just to keep the account current and call it a day.

You may have asked the question in a way that made the seller think you might return the item if you purchased it.  THAT ... combined with the neutral feedback you left your last seller ... caused the seller to be concerned about selling to you.  [It's also likely that the seller had a recent, unpleasant experience with another buyer that influenced the decision to block you.]

I'm glad you found the item elsewhere ... so weren't overly inconvenienced ... but I am sorry this happened.  I've been blocked as well ... and it always feels personal.
