Purchased idem was not as described

I bought a Husqvarna embroidery sewing machine that said it had a USB port when I got it it had a floppy drive. I suggested to the seller that he exchange the machine he sent me for a different one he had for sale, the other machine he had for sale was an upgrade from the one I had. The machine I bought also came with a lot of extras. So I ask if we could exchange machines only and he said ebay doesn't allow that I would have to return everything. Is that true does ebay require you to return everything or can you make partial returns

While you can exchange (seller option), it is best to return for a full refund and purchase again.  Open an Item Not As Described dispute so seller has to pay for the return shipping, since it was their error.  If you do not get a prepaid return label or refund in four days, go back to the dispute and ask ebay to step in.  Do not close or let the case expire without doing this.
