Moonglow buttons

What is it you'd like to know about moonglow glass buttons? I can tell you that three of the buttons in your images would not qualify as moonglow glass. One is pink, one blue and one tan. The pink and blue ones are on the same image, tan is in the other. Moonglow glass MUST have a discernable layer of clear/colorless glass on the very top. Sometimes you can only see it by looking at the button from the side. This clear layer gives a depth to moonglows that no other type of glass has. The ones I mention are opaque glass or might qualify as "satin" glass. -Carol C-

Moonglow buttons

Carol, can you please clarify how you were able to determine from the photos those that are not moonglows? Id'ing moonglows is an area I am stuggling with. I have some that are almost identical to photos I have seen in books and online, but I don't see that discernable layer of glass. Thanks!!
