Just wanted to share one of the designs in which I feature an antique enamel domed button. I chose the bead colors and textures to compliment the button.
See it in the album: Crownrose Enamel button in jewelry. When the picture will be approved by the powers that be.
I love jewelry which features buttons in a no-harm way such as the beautiful bracelet you made. Curious, did you use brick stitch or peyote to form the band? Can you show more images? I'd like to see how you clasped it and the overlay beading details. -Carol-
I used double drop Peyote stitch for the supporting back band. The clasp is a plain buttonhole in the Peyote stitching. The button shank is classically sewn through the Peyote stiched beads. Totally invisible threads on the back.
I have made this project a few times with different types of beads and it always is stunning.
The buttons add interest to it.

Nice work. I haven't learned that stitch. Just regular even count. Certain types of buttons work well to stitch on after finishing the beaded part. I like flat, fancy mother of pearl buttons for this. -Carol-
Here's some no-harm button bracelets I've made, including one using even-count peyote stitch; right angle bead weaving and multi-row beads w/spacer bars:
Gee thanks folks. I appreciate your comments. It's important to me to foster using buttons in jewelry in a no-harm way. I see too many shank snippers on eBay gluing buttons onto base metal findings and listing those pieces in the buttons category, then being upset when people e-mail to say YIKES don't snip shanks! I know NO button collector that wants a piece of jewelry in which a button was destroyed to make. -Carol-
