An old book is from 1940? Almost, well, actually 1938, as I sit here reading my Mom's copy of Out of Africa, lovely stated First Edition - except the dust jacket disappeared so long ago I don't remember ever seeing it; and the twins teethed on the bottom front and rear corners; and I remember when Mom scolded Dad for putting his coffee cup down on the rear cover. Fond memories.
