I think that's high,
but you might as well try.

You, can, if you insist,
lower it on the relist.

If you you can find a customer for uncommon Mosher Press books at $299, you should pamper this person and do everything in your power to find out what he is looking fo, and what you can do to help him with it.

Ask any question about any book Part II

Hi all,

Well I just found my first hardcover copy of Catcher In the Rye at an estate sale, no dust jacket included unfortunately. The copyright page states, Copyright 1945, 1946, 1951 by J. D. Salinger. Published July 1951, Reprinted July 1951 (five times) Reprinted August 1951. The title page has 1951 under Little, Brown and Company Boston.

So, is this a 7th printing? Can I tell for sure it is not a BCE?

Thanks, Deb

I really can't remember offhand any BCE that mentions printings, so I would assume you have a real 7th printing.

I know that some BCE's do now and then say 1st Edition, but very few are. But stating multiple printings would be new for me.

Look on the back cover, at the lower right hand corner.

If there is a tiny dot impression there, it's a book club.

Thanks Joel!

My pleasure.

I can't recall seeing a book club edition of that book
that mentioned reprints on the copyright page.

I can't find any information about this book anywhere:

Religion as Seen Through the church

New York:
Stanford and Swords,
No. 139 Broadway

1845

There is a dedication:
To The Right Reverend William Heathcote De Lancey, D.d.
Bishop of Western New-York
This small token of respect is affectionately inscribed by his dutiful son in the gospel of Christ.

There is no author's name in the book, but I believe that William Heathcote DeLancey had a son of the same name, whom I am assuming wrote this book.

Please, can you tell me where I could find out more information about this book. Also, in a complete absence of information, how do you make a decision of a price range.

Thank you so much for any help.

lahouser : Three copies listed on WorldCat

In my book, that makes it rare.

Only two hits on Google.

You'll have to swag the price [guess]
