when to call it quits...

Hello! The pandemic has flattened sales for me, and I cannot seem to get things going again on FB or eBay.  I have tried a lot of things to improve my listings, but so far sales are still flat. When is it time to pull the listings and assume that the items are not saleable? It's a hard place to be. Thanks for your opinion and time, I wish I didn't feel compelled to ask this question, but am very discouraged.

No one can really answer that for you.  Your listings look nice, great use of measurements, free shipping is a plus.  I would think your sales would increase around this time due Christmas shopping.  I don't sell jewelry, so I can't speak as to how competitive the category is.  I wish I could tell you why sales are slow.  Mine have been too, but I did have a good weekend of sales.

Hi @bellacleojewelry

-Diversify what you sell.  If jewelry goes flat have other categories with listings

-If you elect to stop selling on eBay you can google local auction houses and see if they do jewelry auctions, it liquidates stuff quickly to allow you to move on

I certainly would not give up before Christmas. We are just entering the busiest part of the year and you have beautiful items.

Unfortunately, you also have lots of competition in the jewelry category. And there is the matter of being in the worst economy in decades when people are in debt up to their eyebrows and the prices of everything are continually increasing. It's probably going to be a tough year, but you can make a decision based on the results of one week, one month, or even one year. There are always fluctuations.

Have you tried promoting your listings? If not, you should consider it. It just might make a difference. The minimum promotion rate is a 2% fee if the item sells due to the promotion, but that will drive extra traffic to your listings. Try it on several items and see if it helps.
