what to do when a seller doesn't list boot width and they do not fit?

 The seller omitted the fact that these were narrow (A) width boots. I assumed they were mediums. Doesn't this seem a little underhanded? Should I call ebay? He said he would take them back-I would loose incoming shipping, return shipping and a restock fee. I am not doing this. I feel there should be a feature on shoe listings that a seller cannot proceed if they don't have pertinent information filled in.

Buyers are able to ask sellers any details about their items prior to bidding.
