When a seller cancels an order, you automatically receive an email from eBay to let you know.

Sellers do not cancel orders for no reason - there is always a reason. They just might not share it with you. All you will see on the cancellation is one of the following:

Out of stock or damaged

Buyer asked to cancel

Issue with buyer's shipping address

If the reason isn't #2 or #3, #1 is chosen for all other reasons as these are the only options eBay supplies to sellers to select from.
