viisan S21 document scanner does not function

The viisan S21 document scanner does not function.  The seller acts as if viisan will help or the seller claimed I would get help from seller.   I am stuck with a $311 purchase that just shows a screen with the document on camera.   The software has only one functioning tool which only draws on the screen.  I cannot save to file and the red scanning lines do not appear as the "round button" does not light or function.

Open a Return Request for an ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED, defective. Seller will pay for the return, if he wants it back, and/or refund. If no response by the fourth day, go back and ask ebay to step in. Do not close or let the case expire without doing this, if not resolved.

Thank you rfmtm.  My problem was solved by downloading a software that was not what I had thought was correct.   It used to be clear using software when getting new hardware, since we would just put a disc in and the hardware responded.   It took some trial and error this time and I am grateful for the boards sharing information.   It really is helpful.
