unable to delete items on watchlist

I have an item on my watchlist that will not delete no matter what I do.  I have been trying for days but I keep getting the same message "Sorry, we couldn't complete your request. Try again later." I have tried by clicking the "delete item" under the item on my list. And also by checking the box next to it and using the delete button at the bottom of the page. Neither work. I have also cleared the cookies/history on my web browser. Nothing is working. Why is this happening?
