unable to change your comments visibility because you have active listings?

I am a seller of 20 years. I cannot change my feedback comments to public. ( I did not change them to private) Its says because I have active listings. So if I delete all my listings I can then toggle to public. BUT As soon as i list an item it toggles automatically back to private.

Please help 🙂

Your feedback is public. At least I can see your feedback here on the US site. Log out of ebay.com, them log back in ebay.co.uk and see how it looks there.

Only because I removed all my listings and reset the toggle. As soon as I put even a single listing on, the feedback toggle automatically switches over to private. I will add a new listing now for you to see. Thanks for your help btw.

OK, I got it. It isn't your feedback that is private - you are registered as a private seller. 

I had to go sign in at ebay.co.uk to see it, since we don't see the 'private' tag in the US. We would see it if you were registered as a business seller. I went digging because you can not sell with private feedback 🙂

Hover over the word private on your feedback page and you will see this - 

Registered as a private seller

Consumer protection regulations resulting from EU consumer law are therefore not applicable. eBay buyer protection still applies to most purchases.

I appreciate you taking the time to try and help, but that is not the answer. I know I am registered as a private seller. That is not what I am referring to.  As per the original title of the question, it is to do with "visible to everyone" being switched off by default. "You are unable to change your comments visibility because you have active listings."
The only way to toggle to off and allow comments viability, is to remove all my listings. I can replicate the fault at will.

I think you have it backwards. Your feedback is visible right now. Click on your feedback # just below your name on this page in any of your posts and you will see it.

If you list an item for sale, you will not be able to change your feedback to private. Removing all of your listings allows you to change your feedback to private. Or you can make it public again. You can not list an item for sale with your feedback set to private.
