I am curious of how long does a seller have to ship an item? i know as a buyer payment must be made within 2 days, so why are sellers not held up to the same? I ask as off recently im noticing sellers are taking 5-7 days to send me things i have been purchasing.

Buyers have 4 days to pay the sellers.

Sellers specify their handling time when they create the listing.  That can be same day up to 30 days.  ebay evaluates sellers on the 20th of each month.  If the seller is late in shipping, it is recorded on the seller's account.  Too many defects and the seller can be restricted or suspended.
