My credit card was charged for a sale of a computer mouse, for which the seller was never paid. Once the seller asked me if I had paid yet, I spent 25 minutes trying to find a way to contact eBay about it, or at least find a helpful FAQ (so far, four separate times). Not once did eBay ever respond to or acknowledge requests for help. Am looking for suggestions about how to proceed to ensure payment to seller. Thank you.

Hi @lindsed1966
If you purchased from a new seller ... and you may not know how to tell whether they're new ... they probably don't understand that their funds will be on hold for up to a month ... depending on how expensive the item was.
eBay should have messaged the seller to tell them that they were paid AND that they should ship the item.

@lindsed1966 If the seller is new or returning then they may be experiencing fund holds OR they set up their checking account incorrectly.
Here's how you can contact customer service but the seller may need to do so themselves.

You will need to contact eBay customer service from #5 below but here are some tips that might help you.
Sometimes the problem is the checking account information was not set up correctly.
eBay won't tell what doesn't match for security reasons, this might be your problem.
1. Make sure that the ACH routing number is the correct one to use for deposits to your checking account. Sometimes banks have different ones for this type of deposit.
2 .The bank account must be a brick and mortar checking account, not a virtual one. eBay doesn't offer the debit card payout option at first for new or returning sellers.
3. Your registered name and address on your eBay account must match your checking account and government ID exactly. You can not use a PO box for your registration but you can use it for your ship from and to addresses.
I had to add my middle name to my eBay account.
John B Doe is not the same as John Brian Doe.
You can confirm or update your eBay account information here:

https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/summary
Next scroll down to the lower right corner and click on the ? mark. Then you will see a pop up and a button that says " Have us call you"
