The item was neither damaged nor out of stock which is what was selected as reason for cancellation. Seller didn't want to honor the price and cancelled. I purchased the item in good faith for the price shown and believe seller should honor the transaction.

Cancelling as "out of stock" or "lost or broken" earns the seller a costly account defect.
Sellers that routinely cancel for those reasons do not sell for very long on eBay.
eBay cannot force a seller to deliver a product, though.

Thank you eburtonlab for replying. Here is more of the reason I am unhappy with the seller. Seller had a few painting with the prices around the $90 mark. Seller increased the prices to @150. Seller accepted my offer of $130. Seller emailed me to say that a mistake was made showing the size was 40X50cm when the actual size was 25X36cm. Seller agreed to cancel the transaction because the true size was much smaller. I still followed this seller's art work and emailed the seller asking if seller would be relisting the painting. Seller relisted the painting with the smaller dimensions and I saw that the price was nearly the same as what it had been several months ago so I purchased under the 'Buy it Now' feature for $89.40, A couple of days later the seller cancels the order saying the price was wrong. I think seller should honor the price shown in the listing and paid by me as the buyer, in good faith. I've been on ebay fpr many years and this is the first time I had a seller do this.
