Since the final value fee is partially based on the buyer-paid sales tax, where can I find this sales tax amount?
Up until earlier this year (2021), when a buyer used PayPal for the purchase, Paypal would send me a notice that showed sales tax paid by the buyer. With the ebay changes, I no longer get that sales tax amount via a PayPal email message.
I have checked my recent ebay invoices, statements and transactions but I don't see sales tax listed in those.

Run a transaction report from managed payments - it ill show you the tax paid.
You can also look at an individual transaction, the click on order details to see the breakdown, including tax.

Thanks for the reply. It's good to know that there is a path for retrieving the sales tax info.
But now I am confused about how to get to managed payments. I have the impression that the "managed payments" view of things is the next step beyond the "My eBay" view of things. I spent a bit of time attempting to find managed payments--or switch to managed payments--but was unsuccessful. I will try again to find the path to managed payments and check back.

You are already enrolled in managed payments - I can tell because your listing offers google pay as a payment method.
Your MP summary page is here - https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin
There are links on the left to reports and other info.

That now sounds correct--that I am already enrolled in managed payments. I think that would have happened for me earlier this year when I had to give eBay my bank account info.
So I tried the link again that you posted to display my MP summary page (https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin) but I don't think I am getting to that page. The page I see (1) shows "My eBay" in the upper left corner of my browser, just below the multicolored eBay logo, and (2) the list of links on the left side of the page does not include a Reports link.
I think I am still missing something.

OK, try from the seller hub home page - https://www.ebay.com/sh/ovw
There should be a tab for payments - try clicking there.
I am also asking another mentor to help on the link, since I always used the hub -
Is there a link to the payments tab from the my eBay summary? Or the all selling page?
thanks!

@wooden_flower @brent0000 I recommend getting out the new All selling page as it's trying to be half way to seller hub and it really doesn't work well.
There is a link to the Payments Tab from the New All Selling Page https://www.ebay.com/sh/allselling/listings?
There is much more basic All Selling page that you can see if you opt out of Seller Hub but it doesn't have the access to the payments tab and other information that is needed for Managed Payments. So if you are using that one then you have to switch.
To get used to Seller Hub I suggest you bookmark
the orders page:
https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord
Listings:
https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/active
and overview:

@brent0000 You can see the break down with the sales tax by go to Seller Hub> payments> All Transactions> click on order number to the RIGHT of the item.
https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/transactions
Order details to the LEFT of the item shows you the order total and fees.

Ahh--Sellers Hub seems to be the gateway. I clicked on the Sellers Hub home page link you provided and that shows a different presentation of reports and such. So I think I am there.
I will have take a deep dive into Sellers Hub at a later time and become familiar with that.
Thanks for the help.

Yes - the links I sent you were to seller hub pages. Hint for seller hub - find what you can use, then ignore the rest. There's a lot of info - lots of people say too much. But I say better too much than not enough 🙂
Thanks -I thought maybe there was an easier path to the payment account. I will keep using the hub page.
