is it fair to the seller to have to refund for items that tracking shows it was shipped and in transit but has been delayed for say 45 days? i dont thinks its fair we should loose the sale because of usps loosing the package. is there anything that can be done

also, if a package is insured through usps standard $100 how long does it take to file a claim and how does that process work?

You are responsible for the package until delivery, so if your buyer has filed a not received claim, you owe them a refund.
