respond to question

HI, 

I have a bid on an item.. they asked me a question and no matter where I try to answer it I get "The question you are trying to answer is either invalid or older than 90 days. You cannot respond to questions older than 90 days." it is still live with 1 bid on it... I don't want to ignor the current buyer.. and trying to get help via Ebay help is not getting me anywhere because this is not addressed under any topic title...

Try responding from your Messages inbox. If you have messages sent to your email address, try responding directly to the email.

Or go to the buyer's feedback or profile page and try composing a new message there.
