"ship to name" does not match "buyers name"

Made a sale.  When I printed out the shipping label, I noticed that the ship to name was not the same as the buyers name.  Also, the address for ship to is " 1 Aeropost Way", Miami, which is a freight forwarder.  Should I be concerned enough the cancel this shipment to the buyer?

Hi @marho-2413

What you need to be concerned with is that the local USPS carrier actually scans the package delivered to that particular forwarding company.  I had one go through Miami on it's way to Panama and it was NEVER scanned delivered despite filing a USPS Missing Mail piece.

My customer filed a claim that they did not receive the item.  I had to contact the forwarding company who confirmed they received my package, shipped it to Panama AND had confirmation that it was delivered.  I messaged my customer with that information and asked them to close the INR claim ... which they did, otherwise I would have been out $ 210.00.

You were also charged an eBay International sales fee of 1.65% on the transaction, just so you know.

If you decide to cancel use the reason "Problem with address" since you do not ship Internationally.  When we had PayPal they had a setting to block foreign funding sources.  eBay has not set that up with Adyen, the current Payment Processor.  Keep in mind that the Buyer can still leave less than Positive Feedback on the transaction if you cancel.

Lots of buyers use a freight forwarder. No need to be concerned.

Good to know that MBG ends as soon as an item is forwarded.
