"We closed your return"

Hi there,

 

I am returning an item - I shipped it using the label provided by eBay and also got a tracking number from FedEx, but I was not fast enough in entering the tracking number into eBay, so eBay closed my return.

 

Should I try to
1. Contact eBay

2. Wait and expect that the system will catch up and resolve the issue
3. Assume that I am out of luck
4. Something else?

Message the seller with the tracking number and let them know when they should expect the return. If the seller does not refund your money in a timely fashion, contact eBay to appeal the closure. Or, if you prefer, you could contact eBay now to see if they will reopen the return so that you can enter the tracking number into the return. It would be helpful if tracking shows the item entered the system prior to the case closing.
