Sold an item on ebay. UPS dropped the box - they sent me a letter stating contents were damaged and they threw away the item. A week later, got charged for them to repackage & deliver the item to my customer. On their claim form, they are asking for "The final Ebay Bid Page" in order to process my claim. they want to determine the value of the item by what it sold for, if by auction, then sold to the highest bidder or whichever bidder. if a BIN listing, then that.
So proof by invoice and maybe a screenshot of the listing to back up the invoice amount.
Also, you can always call and ask UPS
