I can watch items if acsessed  from email but I can't bring up listing info or photos

What happens if you go to ebay.com directly? Can you view listings on the main page?

chrome; No difference in direct opening, I'll try foxfire and see....

You are most welcome.

If Firefox works but Chrome does not, then there is probably something about your Chrome setup -- your particular version, installation, settings, preferences, history or add-ons that is causing a problem.

Are you using a desktop or mobile browser?

It might be worth clearing your cache in Chrome, and possibly manually deleting your eBay cookies to see if that makes a difference. After that, try disabling any add-ons or extensions such as ad blockers or script blockers you may have installed to see if one is causing a conflict.
