Can anyone tell me why my over 1K purchase of a sports card was sent directly to me and not to an authenticator first?
The card was autographed and I have no idea if I received a fake. I bought from Comc_Consignment and they were no help with this matter.
thanks

Did the item show the authenticity guarantee? If so, do you use a PO Box for your delivery address? The authenticators ship fedex, so they can not ship to a PO Box.
If the item did not show the guarantee, it could be for a few reasons like the seller’s location. What is the item #?

I do not see that Auth. Guarantee like I do with other purchases. I was under the impression that anything over a certain value automatically went to an authenticator. I wasn't aware as a seller this was an option on the post before making it public.
Is the authentication process optional for a seller?
thanks

No, it is not optional, but there are conditions that must be met. See the trading cards section here -
I tracked backwards from the neutral feedback you left. It looks like COMC does their own grading, so those items would not be eligible for authentication. This is such a major vendor on and off eBay, I would think it is a safe purchase - but I know nothing about trading cards.
