how to change a status on delivery when a item arrives early and tracking info

over the years i have gotten my items very early and the tracking info never gets changed ,it will always show item shipped.who changes the info on ebay to show its been delivered

The delivery mark comes from the carrier scanning the package as delivered, if it is an item sent with tracking.  If there is no tracking, the item will never be updated to delivered.
