So i sold an item for $1200 but so far USPS has opened up a case to find the item. Where do I find the info showing the insurance amount i bought? I paid $36 dollars for the label. but i dont see anywhere on my ebay page showing the insurance amount. Nothing under the invoice or order details page. I need this to file the claim with usps. thanks in adance guys.
also when i search my tracking number on USPS, it only says insurance purchased nothing about total bought

Thanks! I'll be sure to print a receipt if I buy insurance through eBay.
Any idea of where the info might be available after the 5 day reprint is gone? The OP has an INR, so I'm sure that time has passed.
@wooden_flower Maybe Devon might know if there is an older record (only) for labels that were purchased and are past the 5 day Reprint window ... I am not aware of any ... BUT if the OP purchased USPS Insurance through eBay it automatically covers the sold item amount, members cannot change the value eBay generates. The exceptions that the USPS statement implies (red bold below) may or may not apply to the OP's statement that USPS is only showing $ 500. I don't recall if the OP said what the item was and I don't know if that particular item would fall under the "limitations" comment by USPS. devon@ebay might be able to confirm some of those points but I think we need more info from @lossieboy1 on WHAT they sold ...
Standard Shipping Insurance
You can purchase insurance coverage for your mail pieces for up to $5,000 in indemnity to protect against loss or damage. Insurance fees are based on the item’s declared value. There are limitations for insuring some products and certain items.
Hey @mr_lincoln! After reading over the information that was provided I would agree with everything you shared with @lossieboy1. The only thing I would recommend is to go to USPS and see what the limitations are with the insurance that was purchased.

devon@ebay Thank you for jumping in on this one Devon. Yes, the USPS statement on limitations may or may not apply to the item but I would also think eBay is in compliance and current with USPS insurance limitations as they apply to various items listed and sold. That might be a good question to ask internally there ... but reality may be that occasionally some things can slip through the cracks.

so after requesting an ebay "data report" on my account, still nothing about shipping or even tracking numbers for that matter. so that part proved useless.
Usps said i should get the full refund but that was a totally different dept i spoke to. I had to file for the claim through their website, upload all the documents i had on the value of item. So now i just wait and hope i get the 1200. Ill let you guys know the outcome.
