how do i claimed tax refund for items bought on ebay thru my account and shipped outside USA

Dear Public,

Please, i lived i Nigeria and i have account with ebay to purchase items shipped out side USA thru our freight forward.  How can i process refund for taxes charge and paid on items purchase on ebay and were shipped to Nigeria my country where i lived.

You probably will need to discuss this with your freight forwarder.  eBay is required to remit sales taxes to the State that the items were delivered to.  The freight forwarder would have to prove they were then reshipped out of the country but the State may not make any allowance for this in their sales tax laws.

Another option is to find a freight forwarder located in a state without a sales tax, such as Delaware, New Hampshire, Montana, and Oregon.
