Never use reserve price.  You pay $3 to $100 even if your item does not sell based on 4% of the reserve price.         That is is an optional upgrade.

Just start your auction at the least amount you are willing to accept.

Buyers do not like reserve aucitons, they give up trying to guess your price and go away.
