how do I get into account if the phone number is wrong and how do I change it?

I am having a problem getting into my account because it has my old phone number. Why does it need to get the verification code? How do I change the phone number if I can't get in my account? I changed the login name, and now I can't use that to get in. I need help. Thanks.

The account you are using was registered earlier this month. Has your phone number changed since then?

Make sure you are signing in to the correct eBay account. Use the "Need help signing in?" link on the page where you enter your password for additional options -- to change the password, reset the password or to contact eBay if you cannot sign in.
