If there is a tracking number on the order already, you may have purchased an shipping label on eBay that you didn't use. If so, the first step is to cancel that label

1) Here's how to cancel (or void) a shipping label you purchased on eBay:

- Go to Manage shipping labels: https://www.ebay.com/ship/lmng/labels-history/my-ebay

- Find the item you'd like to cancel the shipping label for, then from the Actions column, select CANCEL.

- Choose your reason for canceling the label. If you want to, you can add a message for the buyer.

- Select Cancel (or Void) shipping label.

2) Then, you should add the tracking number that was used when you shipped your item so you have eBay seller protection, and can get paid.

The tracking number will be printed on the receipt (USPS tracking number is usually a 22-digit number)

- Go to the Sold section of My eBay. https://www.ebay.com/mys/sold

- From View Order Details, select Add tracking number (or + additional tracking number)

- Add, edit or delete the tracking number and the carrier.

- Select Submit.

Tried that and still unable to input the number

Says that tracking number is used by a different customer

Is this a tracking number that you yourself bought at the post office?

Did you give the number to a 3rd party?

or
Did a 3rd party give you the tracking number?
